Video Card+Ram Suggestions?
I know nothing about computers but I need a new video card and more ram, but I need the right kind. Right now I have 256MB of ram and some old ass video card from 2001.
So I have a VPR Matrix Model 1820, someone tell me what to get, I want decent but not like really expensive.

The people a the store helped me, they didn't know what kind of video card I needed but they found me the right ram, I took pictures of the inside of my computer to show them so tomorrow I'm going to get the right kind of video card.

I recommend 1GB (1024MB) of RAM for your computer at all times, when playing games it is a lot faster and it has much more benefits, just buy some budget RAM or something and your set, you don't really need Kingston Hypermemory or GeiL's low RAM timings, that is only if you are a DIE HARD.
As for a videocard, I have a 6800GS and I have actually no problems at all games, exept Guild Wars's Fire Islands and the FOW, these problems are solved for now though... I bought my 6800GS for 210 Euro, but it's cheaper nowadays, I've seen em for 180 Euro's. Do you have PCIe? Else I recommend upgrading, but you just need the money for it, since you practically need an entire new computer for it... But if you have 180 Euro's to spend and about 50 Euro's for 3/4'th GB of Value RAM, I'd say go for it... Although 512 RAM also works with Guild Wars though, if you only play Guild Wars on that machine and no other games, it's perhaps better to buy 256 RAM since you don't have much money to spend
I hope this helped

From 2001...uh oh...upgrading your PC is not gonna be so easy now...because...YOU CAN'T!!
Throw the whole thing out and get a brand new one that's what I say,
because you'll be needing a new motherboard, new vid card, new memory, almost everything needs a new one, so just get a new one.

Send me $700, I have a friend who can build me one that would dominate this one for $700.
As for not being able to upgrade it apparently you can because I did.
Heroic, I already bought the ram, I got 512 more on top of my 256 and it works wonderfully.
